Chapter 24: Untitled

One year has passed since I joined the Devil faction.

Five years until the original story begins...

Time seemed to pass quickly when I was sealed in the Dimensional Gap, so why does it feel like it's dragging on so slowly now?

It's probably due to the peaceful daily routine repeating itself every day.

Thanks to training diligently under me, Ravel has already become strong enough to reach the topmost tier of High-Class Devils.

It wouldn't be unreasonable for her to become as strong as an Ultimate-Class soon.

At this rate, she could probably aim for Satan-Class by the time of the original story.

She really is a child overflowing with talent.

Aside from that, various Devil clans came asking to form alliances with me, or the current Four Great Satans came to ask how I was doing—there were this and that, but honestly, none of it was that important.

I have no intention of forming alliances other than with the House of Phenex; dealing with Tannin and the hardworking current Four Satans is just about right.

Just because someone is an ally doesn't mean they can be fully trusted.

I do plan to build some rapport with the Satans, though.

They seem reliable enough, and I need to tag along to the Three Factions Summit later to put a hole through Azazel's gut.

Grudges must be repaid clearly.

Anyway, that's why I'm currently at Tannin's territory.

You might think it's sudden, but recently, an interesting proposal came from Tannin.

A mutant dragon approaching Dragon King-Class had appeared, and since other Devils tried to make her their servant, she set conditions.

But it seems there was almost no one in the Underworld who met those conditions.

First, she would not become a servant unless the master was stronger than her.

Most ordinary Devils apparently failed right there.

Well, Dragon King-Class is near-transcendent; unless you're at least current Satan-Class, it's impossible.

Mephistopheles, who reincarnated Tannin, was a crazy bastard.

I haven't seen him, but wouldn't he be as strong as a current Satan too?

Second, the one to become her master must be a Dragon.

That leaves practically only Tannin as a possibility, but Tannin had already filled his Peerage slots.

So, Tannin suggested that I, who am treated as a dragon, try to take her as a servant.

Of course, calling me a dragon is a stretch, but I'm similar, right?

My alias is even Chaos Dragon.

Anyway, since I haven't used a single Evil Piece yet, it wouldn't hurt to have one or two servants.

With that thought, I decided to take on the challenge.

"You're here?"

Arriving at Tannin's territory, Tannin in human size came out to greet me.

"So, where is that dragon?"

"On that mountain."

Where Tannin pointed with his chin stood a massive mountain where pitch-black storm clouds and biting winds swirled violently.

"Oh, most guys would get shredded in there."

"That is why the foolish Devils who tried to force her into servitude while ignoring the conditions failed."

"It looks deserving."

Failing to even penetrate that means one lacks the capacity in the first place.

"Well then, shall we go?"

Crack───! Cr-r-rack───!

I abandoned my human form and transformed into the familiar Chaos Dragon.

Spreading my massive wings, I broke through the storm, feeling Tannin following behind me.

How far did we go?

The biting storm ceased like a lie, and the serene scenery of the mountain peak came into view.

And at the center of it, a woman stood.

Her pure white hair, dyed lime-green at the tips, fluttered in the wind, and large wing-like decorations adorned her head.

Her emerald eyes were clear and beautiful like a lake.

She wore only pure white cloth covering the minimum areas, which fully revealed her perfect figure without an ounce of excess fat.

The lines leading from her ample chest to her slender waist and toned thighs were like a work of art.

The power felt from her contrasted sharply with her appearance; it was unusual.

Approaching Dragon King-Class? Don't make me laugh.

She is just Dragon King-Class.

To think such a strong character never appeared in the original story...

I'm starting to like this quite a bit.

Talent like this isn't easy to come by.

But, I need to make one thing clear.

"It is not I who am being chosen. It is you who must be chosen by me."

At my words, her emerald eyes wavered for the first time.

I opened my maw.

Inside, chaos began to gather.

"Try to block this. If you withstand it, I will grant you the qualification to become my servant."

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM─────!
