Chapter 21: Untitled

I had a magnificent castle in my territory, and I even had a fiancée—albeit a reserve one.

I felt it was time to do something meaningful.

"Shall I make something?"

As I muttered while sitting on the sofa, Ravel, who was eating cookies next to me, looked at me with round eyes.

"What are you going to make, Master?"

"Hmm..."

Instead of answering, I grabbed my left arm with my right hand.

And without hesitation, I ripped it off.

Crunch...!

"Eh?! Masteeeeeer?!?!"

Ravel's scream, filled with shock, echoed through the castle.

Not a drop of blood flowed from my torn shoulder; a new arm was already squirming and sprouting to replace it.

Squelch, squelch...

From the severed arm rolling on the floor, black tentacles squirmed and sprouted, writhing as if alive.

"Grail, get to work."

At my command, the rusty-gold light of the Grail enveloped the arm on the floor.

Vwoooooooong────!

Crack, c-c-crack───!

The lump of flesh boiled and bubbled, changing its shape, and began to swell fiercely accompanied by bizarre sounds.

"Master! What is that gross thing? Or maybe not? It kind of looks cool..."

"Oh my...! Creating new life based on Master's body... Truly, it is a scene as enchanting as a dream."

Sera and Hwaryeong, who ran over upon hearing the commotion, showed contrasting reactions.

Sera watched with disgust yet curiosity, while Hwaryeong watched with pure admiration.

The lump of flesh soon turned into a giant cocoon, and from within, a new entity tore through the shell and began to crawl out.

Its massive, muscular body was covered in pitch-black scales, and its chest glowed red as if lava flowed within.

It had huge wings on its back, but the most horrific part was above its neck.

Three heads.

Two heads with different shaped horns flashed their red eyes and bared greedy teeth, while the third head, rising above them and resembling a skull, leaked purple liquid from its empty eye sockets.

[ROAAAAAAAARRRR────!!!]

As the three heads roared simultaneously, the entire castle shook, and space itself screamed.

"M-Master... What is... that...?"

Terrified, Ravel hid behind me.

"It's my creation. How is it? I think I made it pretty well."

I approached the newborn monster.

Its three heads turned toward me in unison.

Those eyes were filled only with the instinct for destruction and slaughter.

But as I stood before it, the beast instinctively lowered its heads.

Absolute submission to its Creator.

Hmm, this should be about the level of an Old Satan.

It seems to possess power somewhere between Leviathan and Asmodeus, whom I ate before.

"Ravel."

I called my disciple hiding behind me.

"Y-Yes?"

"Do you happen to have a familiar?"

"N-Not yet...? I was supposed to go to the Familiar Forest designated by my family, but I was worried I wouldn't find one I liked."

Ravel said, shaking her head.

"Then, let's go with this one."

I pointed to the monster prostrating before me.

"What?! You mean this child, who is practically your clone?!"

"Are you scared? It is a part of your Master, after all."

"N-No, it's not that...! It looks so powerful, I'm not sure if I can handle it..."

"Don't worry. I made it to obey me absolutely, so it will serve you as its master according to my command. Besides, a familiar of my disciple should at least be this strong. Don't you agree?"

I said, stroking one of the monster's heads.

"Your name is Belzerac. From today on, your master is my disciple over there, Ravel Phenex. Value her more than your own life, follow her like a shadow, and protect her. Do you understand?"

[Understood... my Creator...]

The three mouths answered simultaneously with a voice that seemed to resonate directly in the soul.

Belzerac turned his massive body and carefully prostrated himself before Ravel.

It looked like a giant mountain paying respects to a small bird.

"Go on, Ravel. Make the contract."

"...Yes!"

Ravel hesitated for a moment, but soon, seeming to make up her mind, she approached Belzerac and formed the contract.

The magic circle of the contract glowed, establishing the master-servant relationship between the two.

"Master! I want something like that too!"

Sera clung to my arm, begging.

"I'll cut off one of your arms and make one for you later."

"Eeeek, no!"

I smiled with satisfaction.

Now there was someone to protect Ravel when I wasn't around.

With him, she should be able to buy some time even against a Satan-Class existence.

"Now, Belzerac. This is your first mission. Escort your master safely to her mansion. And from now on, guard her side at all times."

[As the Master wills...]

Belzerac carefully let Ravel climb onto his back, spread his massive wings, and flew up into the sky.

Watching them leave, I sat back down on the sofa.
